Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply when you use the A10 Salinas Insulation and Spray Foam website, ask us for an estimate or hire us for work at your home or business. By using the site or booking a job with us, you agree to them.
If a written estimate or contract we give you for a specific job says something different from this page, the written estimate or contract controls for that job. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site or book work with us.
What we do
A10 Salinas Insulation and Spray Foam is an insulation contractor in Salinas, CA. We install, top up and remove insulation, seal air leaks and put down vapor barriers in attics, walls, crawl spaces and basements, for homes and commercial buildings in Salinas and the cities around it. Our home page lists the services we offer, and our About page tells you more about who we are.
The information on this site is general. It explains how insulation work usually goes, but it isn't advice for your particular house. What your attic, walls or crawl space actually need is something we can only tell you once we've seen them.
Estimates and pricing
We give free estimates at your property, and asking for one doesn't obligate you to anything. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure during the visit, such as the size of the area, how much old material is already there, how easy it is to reach and the material you choose.
Some conditions only show up once the work starts, like insulation that turns out to be soaked or full of droppings, hidden damage or gaps we couldn't reach during the visit. If we find something that changes the scope or the price, we'll stop and talk it through with you before doing extra work, and we won't charge for added work you haven't approved.
An estimate stays good for the period written on it. After that, material costs and our schedule may have changed, so we may need to update it.
Scheduling and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it. Weather, material delivery, access to the work area or a job that runs long can push a date, and if that happens we'll let you know as early as we can and set a new time with you.
Some jobs, especially spray foam, mean you, your family and your pets need to be out of the house while we work and for a while after. We'll tell you before the job when you need to leave and when it's okay to come back, and you agree to follow those instructions.
If you need to cancel or move your appointment, please call or message us as soon as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered special materials for your job or after the crew has arrived, you may be charged for those costs as stated in your estimate or contract.
Payment
Your estimate or contract will show the price, any deposit and when payment is due. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is done.
If a payment is late, we may pause further work until it's settled and may charge any late fees the contract allows, to the extent California law permits. You're responsible for reasonable costs we have to pay to collect an overdue balance when the contract or the law allows it.
Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover
We stand behind our work with a satisfaction guarantee on every job. If something about the work we did isn't right, call us and we'll come back and look at it. Any written warranty on your contract, and any warranty from the material maker, applies as written.
Apart from those, our work and this website are provided without any other warranties, stated or implied, to the extent the law allows. We don't promise any specific drop in your power bill or any particular indoor temperature, because those depend on things outside our control, like your heating and cooling system, windows, how you use the house and the weather.
Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from leaks, pests, later work by others, changes you make to the area or problems that were already there and were outside the work we agreed to do.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and insured, and we take responsibility for our own work. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
We're not liable for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost income, lost use of a room or costs from conditions that existed before we started. Nothing here limits any liability that California law doesn't allow a business to limit.
We aren't responsible for how you use information from this site, or for content on other websites we link to.
If we disagree
If you're unhappy with anything, please talk to us first. Most problems get fixed with a phone call or a visit back to the job, and we'd rather hear about it early.
If we can't work it out between us, either side may bring the dispute to a court with jurisdiction in Monterey County, California, unless your contract sets out another way to settle disputes. Nothing here takes away any rights you have under California consumer law.
Which law applies
These terms, and any work we do for you, are governed by the laws of the State of California.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you book a job is the one that applies to that job, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
How to reach us
If you have a question about these terms, call us at (831) 243-7218 or use the form on our Contact page. We usually reply within one business day.
